“My name is Alex Draper, and I have met an alien!”
Alex is 16 years old. She’s autistic, stressed about her GCSE’s, and a few days ago she found an alien living in her garden. She has no idea what to do next!
Planet Alex is a solo show currently in development by theatre maker Katie Walters. It follows the strange and magical journey of Alex, as she travels alone across the West Midlands, carrying an alien that she’s hidden inside a cardboard box. Vivid and joyful, Planet Alex is a coming of age story about disability, friendship, and finding your place in the universe.
